Light Portals and Vex Ruffin

Just finished shooting a music video for Vex Ruffin last night. We had lots of fun electrical taping wrongly sized trippy filters onto cameras and rubber hoods. Expect the strangely beautiful dreamlike visuals that-you've-come-to-expect permeate JJ's videos.

I built the blue light portal. I like to think of it as a blend between an oversized blue decatron and a Stargate.

Laser Cutting Enclosures

Creating enclosures for projects is always fun but doing it can easily become a large time sink. A while ago I stumbled on a very handy online script that saves a ton of time getting all the repetitive parts done in one step (and noting it here for the sake of posterity):

 Putting useful modifications in the photobooth. The latest is wall power for the camera so that I can get my drink on instead of fiddling with dead batteries.
